Ministry of Industry and Minerals announced on Saturday, the intention to draw up a comprehensive industrial map across all provinces.
"The ministry is about to lay down an industrial map for Iraq, after forming a committee and obtaining the minister's approval for this," said the director of the Industrial Development Department of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, Aziz Nadhim, to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
Nadhim added, "The stages of preparing the development plan include studying the map of the provinces , the population number and the level of demand for commodities and knowledge of the industrialists ’desire to establish their projects,"
"After the rise in the price of the dollar against the dinar, there has been a trend towards establishing food factories to limit the increase in their prices," he stressed adding, "there is a growing demand for licenses and the implementation of industrial activities, despite the Corona pandemic,"
