Our national team won second place at the conclusion of the second Arab championship for physical strength, hosted by the Egyptian capital Cairo, with the participation of 100 players representing the teams of Egypt (A and B), Lebanon, Palestine and Yemen, as well as Iraq. Egypt won first place, the Lebanese team came third, and Egypt (B) ranked fourth while our youth team ranked second behind Egypt.
The results of the last day witnessed Sabah carpet winning the gold weight of 125 kg, while his colleague, Muntazer Muhammad, won the gold of 140 kg, and Wael Kadhiem won the title of the 140 kg event, and Osama al-Jaf won the copper weight of 110 kg, and Ahmed Ibrahim achieved a bronze weight of 100 kg, and a gold for Zaid Laith With a weight of 120 kg, Hussain won a copper dispersion 110 kg Shabab, and Anwar Muhammad won silver with a weight of 125 kg.
