Today, Tuesday, Minister of Water Resources, Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, discussed with his Jordanian counterpart the maturing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries.
A ministry statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "the Minister of Water Resources, Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, chaired a meeting that was held via closed-circuit television with his counterpart, the Minister of Water and Irrigation in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in the presence of specialists from both countries."
The statement added, "During the meeting, steps were discussed to develop and mature the Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries in the field of water management using the latest modern technologies, as well as the use of a geographic information system in water management and work to accelerate and implement the Memorandum of Understanding."
