The media office of the bank said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency: "There are some consumer companies and associations and some smart card outlets and exchange offices claiming their dealings with the bank for the purpose of granting advances to employees and retirees and trying to persuade them and take advantage of the name of the bank by claiming that they give them immediate advances in cooperation and coordination with the bank In exchange for fictional sums, noting that he was able to diagnose and identify the entities that impersonate the bank and use its name.

He pointed out that "these people use social networking sites as a platform to achieve their personal goals and promote advances in order to try to win the employee or retire and get it to persuade him to grant the advance and inform him that granting it is done in cooperation with the bank" calling "employees and retirees not to believe these and that the only and legal body that grants advances These are the bank’s branches exclusively, and employees and retirees can apply for these advances.
