Sairoon Parliamentary Bloc announced today’s Friday the continuation to adopt the positive and constructive opposition under the parliament dome, while stressing that it will not stand by any party or support any candidate for the next Prime Minister.
"It is a result of the current situation that Iraq is going through and avoiding any side interpretations far from the truth and out of respect for the will of the demonstrators, and not entering into any political rivalries that do not produce useful solutions, Sairoon Parliamentary Bloc announces that it will continue to adopt the positive and constructive opposition under the parliament’s dome,” said Hamdallah al-Rikabi, Sairoon Parliamentary Bloc spokesperson, in a statement received by Iraqi News Agency – INA.
He added that this position resulted from a complete conviction of the necessity to avoid political entanglement with any party in order to spare the country dangerous slips that “Sayyed Muqtada al-Sadr warns of in order to preserve the future of Iraq, its security and the safety of its people”
"We hope from all political forces to have a clear position and put the interests of Iraq above all considerations," he added.
