Member of the House of Representatives for the Alliance of Representatives, Sadiq Al-Sulaiti, confirmed today that 170 deputies handed over to President Barham Salih the specifications of the next prime minister.
Al-Sulaiti told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): A parliamentary movement that included 170 deputies from different blocs was handed over in an official letter to the President of the Republic, the specifications and mechanism of choosing the next prime minister.
Al-Sulaiti explained that the block of marching is the largest bloc by consensus between the blocs, noting that the bloc of Sayirun presented in an official letter to the presidency of the republic that the candidate be independent and satisfactory for the pretending arenas.
He continued, Most of the deputies agreed that the candidate be from inside the demonstration squares, pointing out that independent and efficient names will be circulated and presented to the President of the Republic.
The member of the House of Representatives Abboud Al-Issawi, had revealed earlier on the request of the President of the Republic Barham Salih, from representatives of 170 deputies who received them this evening, Tuesday, pressure on the leaders of political blocs to present an acceptable candidate from the street.
Al-Issawi said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), We are representatives of a gathering of 170 deputies. We met the President of the Republic and discussed with him the latest developments to nominate a new Prime Minister, and between us the position we hold by being close to the demonstrators and we have relations with the coordination of the demonstrations.
