Highest Religious Authority – Marja' issued a statement during the Friday’s sermon.
The statement included that Marja' is following up the recent situations and sad for the clashes in several Iraqi provinces especially, Nasiriyah and Najaf and the killings of precious souls in addition to the burning and destruction of many possessions.
Marja' offered condolences for the families of the martyrs and wished that Allah may send patience into their hearts and rapid healing for the wounded casualties.
The sermon also included that it is not allowed to attack the peaceful protesters nor preventing them from demanding their own rights of having reforms in addition to providing protection for private and public funds and possessions.
“The peaceful protests must distinguish between the non-peaceful individuals and offer help to arrest the corruptors, whoever they are,”
“Regarding the recent deteriorated situations that the country is going through and the disability of the concerned parties to overcome the updates by preventing bloodshed and killings, the Parliament, the part that produced the current government must reconsider the choice and act in response to what it is better for the sake of Iraq and the people. It must avoid being dragged into violence, chaos and destruction,” included the statement.
Marja' also called to hasten the process of the electoral legislations pack of which must be in response to the people’s demands to make a free and clean elections that offers honest results to represent the true will of the people.
