The National Congress called by President Barham Salih will discuss provisions in the constitution that have been diagnosed with many cases that need to be amended.

Al-Kanani told the Iraqi News Agency: Constitutional amendments cannot be made by the Presidency of the Republic, only through a national conference,indicating the President's endeavor to open dialogue with political and community forces and academic figures, in addition to the importance of the opinion of the religious authority, to review  The most important material is usually the obstacle in building the state.

Al-Kanani added that the dialogue will discuss whether the parliamentary system is the best or the presidential system, and the relationship between the center and the region by the wealth, and how to distribute them, especially oil, as well as will discuss the powers of the provinces, and the powers of the center, and the issue of provincial councils, and the election of the governor directly by The people or will be through the provincial council according to the current mechanism.
