Federal Court rejects the appeals over elections

    INA - Baghdad Federal Supreme Court rejected the appeals over the amendment of elections. Yet, the court has approved the appeals over cancelling the abroad, IDPs and Kurdistan region private votes. “The Parliamentary authorities are valid until the end of the electoral period,” Judge Midhat Al-Mahmud, Federal Supreme Court president said on Thursday. He explained that the recount process is a correct regulation as it deepens the citizen’s trust in the government and it is abided by the constitution.
