Around 14 members of the Nineveh Provincial Council – NPC have called on the parliament to resolve the council.
They have offered a document that included the signatures of the members that called for resolving NPC.
This came shortly after the session of the council that resulted in voting for Mansoor al-Mareed as the new governor of Nineveh.
The voting session occurred despite the absence of 12 members and parliamentary refusal in addition to protests that denied the voting process.
Mansoor al-Mareed was chosen after gaining 28 votes while the member Serwan Mohammed won 21 votes only.
