The Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Iraq, Ali Khalil Ibrahim, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency : The plan was approved to develop safety procedures for the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, which includes many procedures in the technical support and provide experts for the preparation of the first phase of the program Global Safety Oversight (USOAP) .
He pointed out that this audit will be considered an important step for Iraqi civil aviation in the international field, which has not been done previously.
The meetings were held in the presence of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) and the United Arab Emirates (within the technical coordination program between the civil aviation authorities of both countries).
