Iraqi CTS: "Ghazwat al-Sham" terrorist scheme thwarted

The Iraqi Counter Terrorism Service (CTS), announced, on Saturday, the thwart of terrorists scheme to target the liberated areas in provinces of Salahaddin, Diyala and Kirkuk, affirming the killing of 12 terrorists and destruction of 13  hideouts and the finding of various weapons and explosives in an operation carried out in Himreen hills.

INA correspondent said that,CTS announced the outcomes of the joint operation carried out, in cooperation with the coalition aviation and Iraqi air corps and formations of Ministries of Defence and the Interior in Himreen Hills during the last two days, has thwarted Ghazwat al-Sham (Battle of Sham) which Daesh was preparing for, to target the liberated areas in the three provinces.
