PM heads a special meeting to assess the status of flood waters

Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi held a special meeting of ministers, governors and experts to assess the situation of flood waters and to ensure the safety of measures taken to protect citizens and farmers.

The Mahdi has directed farmers to compensate for the losses caused by floods, to benefit from water availability and to make the necessary decisions, the media office said in a statement.
