Al Halbousi receives Putin's envoy and stresses the importance of activating the work of parliamentary friendship committees between Baghdad and Moscow

The two sides discussed bilateral relations and expanded the horizons of cooperation in the fields of economy, energy and investment in the interest of the two countries, as well as activating and developing the work of parliamentary friendship committees between Baghdad and Moscow, the media office said in a statement.

Al Halbousi stressed the keenness of the House of Representatives to support the federal government in the form that qualifies it to contract with international companies in the field of investment in the reconstruction of the country and provide employment opportunities for young people.

For his part, Bogdanov hailed Iraq's great efforts to liberate itself from terrorist groups and to confront terrorist ideas and fight them in the region, reiterating his country's support for Iraq in all fields in order to achieve stability.
