Foreign Minister Mohammad Ali al-Hakim said on Monday that the Iraqi-Iranian relations are strategic and based on basic elements such as partnership, commercial, cultural, security and common interests of both countries.
"Today's Iraq is a convergence point for neighbours, brothers and a new political center in the region, Al- Hakim said in a statement.
Al-Hakim added: We are working hard to return Syria to its seat in the Arab League and the time has come for that.
