President Barham Salih received today the credentials of some new ambassadors to Iraq at the Presidential Office in Baghdad.
Those ambassadors represent the countries of Qatar, Switzerland, China, Vietnam, Benin, Ireland, Turkmenistan and Austria, according to a statement issued by the Presidency Media Office.
The President referred in his meetings with the ambassadors to the importance of enhancing the friendly relations with all brotherly and friendly countries and promotes them at all levels, the statement added.
Salih stressed on the need of exchanging expertise in the fields of investment and technology, affirming that Iraq’s strategy based on common interests with other countries all around the world to serve the Iraqi people and the friendly peoples of these countries, the statement showed.
From their side, the new ambassadors expressed the readiness of their countries to back Iraq in its efforts of development and reconstruction, the statement concluded.
