The Speaker of the Parliament Muhammad Halbousi met today his Kuwaiti counterpart Marzouq Ghanim in Doha on the sidelines of the works of the General Assembly of the International Parliamentary Union.
According to a statement issued by the Speaker’s Media Office, both sides discussed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and the ways of enhancing them, and the subjects that have mutual interest, such as the Palestinian case and the situation in the occupied Syrian Jolan region.
From his side, Halbousi praised the Kuwaiti interest in reconstruct Iraq and its liberated towns and cities and the return of the deported people, calling to keeping on backing this issue, the statement added.
Both sides confirmed on implementing the decisions of the Donors Conference held last year in Kuwait and transforming them into projects on ground, the statement concluded.
