Iraqi-Saudi Sports Town agreement

INA - BAGHDAD

The Committee of Coordination on the Ministry of Youth and Sport signed an agreement with Saudi Arabia to start working on the project of Sports Town as a gift from Saudi Arabia to the Iraqi Youths and Athletics.

A statement issued by the Ministry included that the location of this project is to be in al-Yousiffiya, Baghdad and to start the work as soon as finishing the official documents.

The Head of the Supervising Committee Abdul Rahman al-Harkan noted that the sequenced visits; that were made to accomplish the gift of Saudi Arabia; have located the area and made the standards of which this town to be built.

The area is measured as 30 KM, nearby the Baghdad International Airport and it will include Hotels, Hospitals and other services such as water and electricity, he added.
