INA – New York UN Secretary-General Jan Kubis called on Iraq to form a Government of National Unity. His statement came during the meeting of the Security Council regarding Iraq. “This comes after the announcement of Elections results. This formation must reflect the will of the people and not to be corrupted as well as to fulfil the hopes of the Iraqis,” Kubis said. Kubis stated that six Kurdish parties questioned the elections, “The situations in Kirkuk remain unstable as Arab and Turkmen parties demanded a recount”
