The First Deputy of the Parliament’s Speaker pledged today of issuing legislation system to preserve rights and freedoms in Iraq.
The Media Office of the First Deputy of the Parliament’s Speaker issued a statement, mentioning Kaabi discussed today during a meeting with the Australian Ambassador in Baghdad Joanne Loundes and her escorted delegation implementing the parliamentary friendship committees between both countries, and Australia’s contribution in returning the displaced to their liberated territories, besides implementing cooperation in all fields.
Kaabi referred that the most important priorities of the Iraqi Parliament during its current course is establishing the laws that contribute in finishing corruption era, and accounting the corrupted people wherever they are, as well as unifying all efforts to support the duties of the Anti Corruption Supreme Council, the statement showed.
The First Deputy added that the legislation authority has a real intention to approve a whole system of laws in order to preserve rights and freedoms in the country, ahead of them is the freedom of opinion expression, the right of having the information, information technology crimes, besides domestic violence protection law.
Kaabi noted all laws would be submitted to highly precise procedures with consult and cooperation from the concerned sides till the date of legislation approval, the statement concluded.
