the Ministry of Foreign Affairs-MOFA expressed on Sunday, its full solidarity with the government and people of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar following the earthquake that struck the country, accompanied by aftershocks affecting parts of Thailand and Vietnam, causing significant human and material losses.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “the Republic of Iraq extends its sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims and the injured, and reaffirms its full support to friendly countries during this difficult time.”
The statement emphasized “the importance of humanitarian cooperation and solidarity to face the repercussions of this natural disaster.”
MOFA also lauded the significant efforts of rescue teams, medical staff, and humanitarian workers in providing support and relief to those affected.
