Diwaniyah Police announce the arrest of 7 drug dealers

Diwaniyah Police Command announced today, Saturday, the arrest of seven drug dealers in the province.

A statement from the Police Command received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated: "A force from the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, under the direct supervision of the Diwaniyah Police Commander, Major General Najah Mahmoud Sultan, arrested seven drug dealers."

The statement added that "a quantity of crystal meth was found along with drug paraphernalia," noting that "the accused were investigated for referral to the competent courts."

It continued, "The arrest operation included a search of several areas of the governorate to search for those wanted for drug trafficking crimes."
