The General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs announced today, Wednesday, the arrest of 10 drug dealers and the seizure of 53 kg of narcotics in Baghdad, Diwaniyah and Maysan.
The Directorate stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Three qualitative operations with precise intelligence depth were carried out during the past hours, after forming a working team from the Directorate of Narcotics Affairs in Salah al-Din, which resulted in the arrest of a drug dealer working as an employee in one of the ministries and the seizure of (50) kilograms of the narcotic substance Tramadol, which was extracted from hidden places that are difficult to reach in Baghdad."
On the other hand, "the second working team formed by the Diwaniyah Narcotics Affairs Directorate was able to arrest a drug network consisting of three drug dealers red-handed, including two foreigners, after they attempted to transport (2) kilograms of narcotics in Diwaniyah. As for the third team, it was from the Maysan Narcotics Affairs Directorate, as it was able to arrest (6) drug dealers and seize (1) kilogram of narcotics in Maysan."
