Syrian Foreign Minister, Asaad Al -Shaibani, confirmed on Friday that the strong partnership with Iraq and Syria will contribute to building the region.
Al-Shaibani said in a joint press conference with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein in Baghdad - attended by the Iraqi News Agency - INA, "The strong partnership with Iraq and Syria will contribute to building the region," stressing that "the Syrian government is serious in strengthening the relationship ties with Iraq."
He added, "Syria will take decisive steps to develop relations between the two countries," expressing "his country's willingness to cooperate with Iraq in fighting the terrorist Daesh."
"We aim to enhance trade exchange between the two countries," Al -Shaibani said, noting that "Syria and Iraq should stand together to prevent any interference in their internal affairs."
The Syrian Foreign Minister said: "Syria and Iraq must cooperate to reject any external interference in which external forces dictate what we are doing."
