Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein confirmed on Friday the idea of establishing a cooperation council between Iraq and Syria, indicating that the Daesh fighting operations room will see the light soon.
Hussein said in a joint press conference with his Syrian counterpart - attended by the Iraqi news agency - INA: "We talked about Daesh moves on the Iraqi-Syrian border."
"The Iraqi constitution does not allow interference in the affairs of other countries. The Iraqis paid a great price for the sectarian war," he noted.
He pointed out that "the events were discussed in the Syrian coast and expressed our concern for what is happening," stressing, "the need to cooperate internationally to eliminate Daesh."
The Foreign Minister stressed that "Daesh fighting operations room will see the light soon," declaring, "offering the idea of establishing a cooperation council between Iraq and Syria."
