The Forensic Medicine Department announced today, Wednesday, the delivery of the remains of 28 martyrs from the victims of the Badoush prison massacre, which was committed by the terrorist ISIS gangs.
The Director General of the Forensic Medicine Department, Dr. Zaid Ali Abbas, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Under the auspices and guidance of the Minister of Health, Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi, the Forensic Medicine Department delivered the remains of (28) martyrs from the victims of the Badoush prison massacre, which was committed by (The terrorist ISIS gangs)."
Abbas added, "This batch is the third announced to match the remains of the martyrs of the Badoush massacre, bringing the number of cases that have been matched and delivered to their families to (151) remains." He stressed that "the Badoush massacre is one of the most technically complex cases, given that it occurred in an area of floods and running water, but the staff of the Forensic Medicine Department made exceptional efforts to collect and match the remains.".
For her part, Dr. Yasmine Munther explained that "there are upcoming batches that the Mass Graves Department is working on, until this file is completely closed," noting that "the current batch was delivered to the families of the martyrs with special facilities, as most of the martyrs were transported to the governorates of residence of their families, which are (Baghdad, Najaf, Babylon, Karbala, Dhi Qar, Salah al-Din, and Diwaniyah)".
