Arrest of Several Suspects and Seizure of Unlicensed Weapons in Baghdad: MOI

The Ministry of Interior-MOI announced on Friday the arrest of several suspects and the seizure of unlicensed weapons in Baghdad.

In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the ministry stated that " Baghdad Karkh Emergency Police Directorate continues its security operations and patrols to secure its areas of responsibility. Over the past 24 hours, these efforts have resulted in the arrest of three suspects for theft, two suspects for firing live ammunition, the seizure of nine wanted vehicles, and three unlicensed weapons."

The statement added that "the suspects, along with the confiscated items, have been taken to the relevant police stations under the command’s jurisdiction to complete the necessary legal procedures in accordance with the law."
