The Ministry of Foreign Affairs offered condolences to the United States of America on Thursday over victims of a passenger plane crash in the Potomac River.
A statement by the ministry received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that it "expresses its sincere condolences to the United States of America over victims of a passenger plane crash in the Potomac River, as a result of its collision with a helicopter near Ronald Reagan Airport, at dawn on Thursday."
The ministry affirmed: "The Republic of Iraq's full solidarity with the United States of America, government and people," expressing "its sincere condolences and sympathies to the families and relatives of the victims."
