A Saudi official source confirmed today, Thursday, that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud called for an informal fraternal meeting that includes the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the city of Riyadh on Friday, February 21.
The official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the source as saying: "This meeting comes within the framework of the special friendly meetings that the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Jordan and Egypt have been accustomed to holding periodically for many years, based on the close fraternal relations that bring them together, which contribute to strengthening the bonds of cooperation and coordination between the Council countries, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Arab Republic of Egypt."
The source added that "joint Arab action and the decisions issued regarding it will be discussed in detail during the agenda of the emergency Arab summit scheduled to be held in the Arab Republic of Egypt," stressing that "these meetings reflect the leaders' commitment to continue strengthening Arab solidarity and confronting regional and international challenges."
