PM offers condolences to Iraqi novelist Ahmed Khalaf on his passing

Al-Sudani offers his condolences on the passing of the distinguished Iraqi writer and novelist Ahmed Khalaf, following a fruitful journey of outstanding literary contributions that enriched Iraqi cultural life for over half a century.

A statement by the Prime Minister's Media Office received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said: "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani offers his condolences on the passing of the great Iraqi writer and novelist Ahmed Khalaf, after a fruitful career of distinguished literary production that influenced Iraqi cultural life for half a century."

With this sorrowful loss, the Iraqi literary community has lost a creative figure and a writer who played an active role in shaping the contemporary Iraqi cultural scene.

May the departed soul rest in peace, and may his loved ones, family, and the entire Iraqi cultural community find patience and solace.
