The Ministry of Justice announced today, Wednesday, the approval of the National Committee for Writing International Reports of the third report on the Arab Charter on Human Rights.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "Minister of Justice Khaled Shawani chaired the meeting of the National Committee for Writing International Reports at the ministry's headquarters, with the participation of committee members representing the concerned authorities."
MOJ added that "the meeting witnessed the discussion of the third report on the Arab Charter on Human Rights and its approval after submitting the necessary comments," noting that "the report is scheduled to be presented to the Council of Ministers for approval in preparation for sending it to the League of Arab States."
The Ministry added that "the meeting also discussed the latest preparations related to the fourth report of the Universal Periodic Review, including setting dates for the Iraqi delegation's speeches and coordinating with the Iraqi mission in Geneva to ensure that the necessary preparations are completed before the discussion date."
