The National Olympic Committee announced today, Saturday, the launch of the Sumer Horse Beauty Championship in Baghdad next Monday, coinciding with the Iraqi Army Day.
The Olympic Committee media stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "Under the patronage of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, the Iraqi Equestrian Federation is holding the third edition of the (Sumer) Horse Beauty Championship on its field in the Al-Jadriya area in the capital, Baghdad, for next Monday and Tuesday, corresponding to the sixth and seventh of January.".
The head of the National Olympic Committee, Aqil Muftan, confirmed, according to the statement, that "the third edition of the championship will be launched in conjunction with the Iraqi Army Day, one of the most prominent equestrian and championship themes in the land of (Sumer), the historical name of Iraq.".
