Prime Minister Mohamed Shia al-Sudani on Thursday ordered an expedited investigation into the crime committed against a family in Sadr City.
Media Office of the Prime Minister said in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency INA that Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani directed the specialized security agencies within the Ministry of Interior to expedite the investigation into the crime committed against a family in Sadr City, east of the capital, Baghdad, which resulted in the death of eight family members. He stressed the importance of bringing the perpetrators to justice to receive their deserved punishment.
