Iranian FM: Tehran will consider sending troops to Syria by request

    Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, confirmed on Tuesday that Tehran will consider sending troops to Syria if Damascus requests it.

    "We are preparing to travel to Moscow to discuss developments in Syria with the Russians," according to the Iranian Tasnim News Agency quoting Araghchi - followed up by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    He added that "Tehran will consider sending troops to Syria if the Syrian government requests it."
