The First Deputy Speaker of parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, held on Monday, a parliamentary meeting in the presence of the Minister of Defense, to discuss terrorist movements in Syria.
The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of parliament stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, held an important meeting with the Security and Defense Committee in the presence of the Minister of Defense, the Chief of Staff of the Army, and the commanders of joint operations, the Air Force, the Land Forces, Air Defense, Army Aviation, and Military Intelligence."
The statement added that "the meeting witnessed a discussion of the recent terrorist movements in Syria and their repercussions on the security of Iraq, in addition to discussing ways to confront future risks."
