The Ministry of Migration and Displacement - MMD announced on Monday that Lebanese families have begun to return home according to an easy mechanism, indicating that food, health and housing care have been provided for them.
"The Lebanese guests in Iraq, as a result of the war launched by the Zionist entity on their homeland, are dear guests to the land of the two rivers. The families were received in several governorates, most of them in Karbala and Najaf, and other governorates. We provided what could be provided through MMD and other supporting ministries," said the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Karim Al-Nouri - to the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
He noted, "The number of Lebanese families arriving in Iraq reached 6,000, who came through the Qaim border crossing, the Baghdad and Najaf airports. They were distributed among decent places of residence," indicating that "they were informed of what PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani's directives to us, in terms of care that meets their food, health and housing needs, in a position that represents the chivalry of the Iraqis towards their Lebanese and Palestinian brothers."
"After the ceasefire agreement, Lebanese families began to return to their homes according to an easy practical mechanism," he included.
