The Strategic Planning and Government Performance Evaluation Committee announced today, Monday, the development of a plan on memoranda of understanding with neighboring countries on the development road, while indicating that the road project will extend its impact to subsequent governments.
The head of the committee, Laila Al-Tamimi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "The committee hosted the Minister of Transport to shed light on the most important aspects of the government program, with a focus on the expected achievements of the Ministry of Transport."
She pointed out that "the coming period will witness a major achievement related to the Faw Port, as this project is a strategic achievement that is not limited to the current government, but its impact will extend to subsequent governments."
Al-Tamimi added that "an integrated roadmap has been developed to activate memoranda of understanding with neighboring countries, as well as to organize contracts related to development plans," noting that "there are joint field tours expected for the committee accompanied by the Minister of Transport and the advanced staff from the various departments of the ministry, with the aim of reviewing the most prominent projects directly and ensuring their implementation on the ground."
Al-Tamimi thanked the Minister of Transport and senior staff for their efforts, praising the “clarifications provided by the ministry, which highlight its future aspirations.”
