Syrian President Bashar al-Assad confirmed today, Sunday, that Syria, as a state, army and people, is continuing to fight terrorist organizations with all force and determination.

The Syrian presidency said in a statement followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "President Bashar al-Assad confirmed during his reception of Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqhchi that Syria, as a state, army and people, is continuing to fight terrorist organizations with all force and determination and on all its territories."
Al-Assad stressed that "confronting terrorism, dismantling its structure and drying up its sources does not serve Syria alone as much as it serves the stability of the entire region, its security and the safety of its countries."
He explained that "the Syrian people have been able to confront terrorism in all its forms over the past years, and today they are determined to eradicate it more than ever before," pointing to "the importance of supporting allies and friends in confronting terrorist attacks supported from abroad and thwarting their plans."
The statement indicated that Minister Araghchi conveyed a message from the Iranian leadership confirming "Iran's firm stance alongside Syria in its fight against terrorism, and its complete readiness to provide all kinds of support to the Syrian government for this purpose."

He noted that "Syria has previously faced much more difficult than it faces today, and that it is capable of achieving victory against terrorism and its supporters."

Araghchi renewed "his country's commitment to the unity and stability of Syrian territory."
