The head of the Iraqi Volleyball Federation, Habib Ali Al-Lawandi, signed on Tuesday a cooperation agreement with the Head of the Tunisian Federation, Majid Jarad, to exchange expertise and hold workshops, courses and camps.
"The signing ceremony of this protocol was held in Bahrain, Manama, on the sidelines of the 23rd Arab Men's Championship, won by the Bahraini national team," stated the Volleyball Federation in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
The statement quoted Al-Lawandi as thanking and expressing his "gratitude to the Head of the Arab Federation, Ali bin Muhammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, the Secretary-General of the Arab and Bahraini Federation, Firas Al-Halwachi, the Head of the Tunisian and Sudanese Federations, who in turn were keen to advance the reality of Arab volleyball and provide all efforts to raise it high. The lion's share went to the Iraqi Federation by holding workshops, training and refereeing courses as well as training camps for all teams."
