UNIFIL: 5 peacekeepers injured in drone attack in Sidon

    UNIFIL announced, today, Thursday, that 5 peacekeepers were injured in a drone attack in Sidon.

    A UNIFIL statement said, "A UNIFIL convoy carrying newly arrived peacekeepers in Lebanon was passing through Sidon when a drone attack occurred nearby, slightly injuring five peacekeepers."

    The statement added, "The five injured soldiers were immediately treated by the Lebanese Red Cross and then continued on their way to their positions in southern Lebanon."
