The Ministry of Transport announced today, Wednesday, that a second earthquake occurred in the city of Erbil.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "Its seismic observatories in the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring recorded an earthquake north of the city of Erbil at exactly 8:14:30 pm today local time," indicating that "the magnitude of the earthquake reached (2.9) degrees."
It added that "it was felt by citizens."
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Transport recorded today at exactly 04:11:22 pm an earthquake with a magnitude of (3.1) degrees near Shaqlawa in Erbil.
