The leader of the Shiite National Movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, announced today, Thursday, the opening of the door for in-kind donations to aid the Lebanese people.
Al-Sadr said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The generosity of the beloved Iraqi people has amazed everyone and prompted me to open the door for in-kind donations to deliver them either to beloved Lebanon or to dear neighbor Syria.".
He added, "In-kind donations are opened in each governorate separately for two days, starting from Basra Governorate and ending with Mosul."
