Iraq condemns armed attack in Turkish capital Ankara

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned, on Wednesday, the armed attack that targeted the headquarters of the Aerospace Industries Company in the Turkish capital Ankara.
     
    The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): It "expresses its strong condemnation of the armed attack that targeted the headquarters of the Aerospace Industries Company in the Turkish capital Ankara, which resulted in a number of casualties and injuries to others."
     
    "While we affirm our full solidarity with the government and people of the Republic of Turkey, we express our sincere condolences to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured."
     
    The ministry renewed "its firm position in rejecting all forms of violence and terrorism that threaten the security and stability of countries," stressing "the importance of intensifying international efforts to combat terrorism and maintain the security and stability of the region."
