Board of Commissioners: General voting for Kurdistan Parliament elections is going well

    The Board of Commissioners confirmed on Sunday, that the ballot boxes for the Kurdistan Parliament elections will close at six o'clock in the evening, indicating that the general voting is proceeding well.
     
    The Chairman of the Board, Omar Ahmed, said in a statement to a number of media outlets, including the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The voting for the Kurdistan Region elections was conducted smoothly, transparently and honestly," indicating that "there is full control by the Commission over the polling stations and polling stations, and in the event of any external breach, it is the responsibility of the security forces."
     
    Ahmed added that "the general ballot boxes for the Kurdistan Parliament elections will close at 6 pm, and we will announce the results 24 hours after closing," noting that "international monitoring enhances the transparency and integrity of the Kurdistan Region elections."
     
     The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners confirmed that "no breach occurred during the Kurdistan Parliament elections or affected the electoral process," noting that "the electoral process is going well today so far."
