The Joint Operations Command declared On Tuesday, that two airstrikes in Kirkuk had resulted in the deaths of four terrorists.
"Based on the directives of the commander-in-chief of the armed forces to tighten the noose on the remaining elements of ISIS terrorist gangs, and with the planning of the targeting cell in the Joint Operations Command, the operations of the Air Force Command were provided with accurate information about a terrorist hideout in the Laylan area within the Kirkuk Operations Command sector," the Command said in a statement released by the Security Media Cell and obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
In addition, the statement stated that "four ISIS gang members, including a prominent leader, were found dead from the two successful airstrikes carried out by army aviation using F-16 planes on this location. All of the information gathered from these sources will be confirmed after further investigation."
According to the statement, "weapons, communications equipment, and logistical materials were destroyed during the security operation, and the search is still ongoing."
