Maysan Criminal Court: Life imprisonment for drug dealers

Maysan Criminal Court issued a life sentence against two drug dealers.
 
The Judicial Council stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the convicts were found in possession of 952 grams of crystal meth with the intent to trade and sell it among users."
 
The statement added, "The ruling was issued based on the provisions of Article 28/First of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017."
