Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service(ICTS) announced on Saturday, the arrest of three terrorists in different areas of the country, noting that an airdrop was carried out in Kirkuk Governorate, which resulted in the destruction of 13 terrorist hideouts.
A statement issued by ICTS, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "based on intelligence information and continuous follow-up, the security forces carried out a series of operations in various areas of the country."
It pointed out that "two terrorists were arrested in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, in cooperation with the Operations Directorate of the Asayish Service of the Kurdistan Region."
The statement added, "A qualitative operation resulted in the arrest of one of the most dangerous terrorists, who held a security position in the so-called (Southern Province Sector), and had participated in many battles that took place in Anbar Governorate."
It pointed out that "the security forces carried out an airdrop operation that resulted in the destruction of 13 terrorist hideouts in Kirkuk Governorate, as they contained explosive devices and C4 jerry cans."
