Real Madrid’s injury crisis continues to worsen with the latest blow involving Castilla center-back Jacobo Ramon. Initially seen as a potential emergency backup for the first team, Ramon has now joined the growing list of sidelined players. Currently, Carlo Ancelotti finds himself with only Jesús Vallejo as the sole available option in central defense in training.

This setback adds to a string of defensive issues. Dani Carvajal is out for the rest of the season, and Eder Militão has been sidelined for approximately 10 days due to a muscle injury that kept him out of Brazil’s international matches. Meanwhile, David Alaba is still recovering from an ACL injury with no clear return date in sight, leaving the team’s defensive ranks further depleted. Antonio Rüdiger is on international duty with Germany, and the club is praying he returns unscathed.

Jacobo’s injury, fortunately, appears to be a muscular issue that’s not considered severe. However, this marks his third injury of the season, and his fitness problems have hampered his progress. Most recently, he missed Real Madrid’s match against Villarreal, and just when it seemed he had recovered, he suffered another relapse. This comes at a time when Castilla’s best center-back, Joan Martinez, is out for the entire season due to an ACL injury, meaning Ramon was likely to step up in the absence of first-team players.
