Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi visited today (Sunday) the Turkish hospital project (400 beds capacity) in Al-Hayaniya area in Basra. The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by Ina: “PM Abdul Mahdi visited the hospital’s departments, wards, and operating theaters; met the resident engineers of the project; and stressed on the need of daily follow-up, presenting immediate solutions ((to problems)) and overriding routine; facilitating procedures to ensure the completion of the hospital, and the roads leading to it”.
The Council of Ministers had already approved in its last session, the recommendations of its council committee No. 45 for 2018; to building general hospitals of 400-bed- capacity; in Basra, Dhi Qar, Maysan, Karbala, Babylon, and Najaf provinces; to be implemented by Turkish and German companies.
