The Security Media Cell- SMC confirmed on Sunday that 2024 will witness the largest forestation campaign for the pilgrims' road under the guidance of Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani.
The head of the Security Media Cell and spokesman for joint operations, Major General Tahseen al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "2024 was characterized by the abundance of roads that were opened, as the state took it upon itself to develop and dismantle traffic jams and open bridges, which contributed to facilitating the passage of pilgrims."
He stressed that "this year will witness the largest forestation campaign for the pilgrims' road, under the guidance of Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Sudani," noting that "the security forces will contribute with the service ministries, forestation of the pilgrims' road, and this is within our duties, especially in the operations sectors of those forces."
